Thank you so much for choosing to rent our cabin! We built the cabin in 2020/2021, and hope you will enjoy your stay!

The address is Kviissyndin 144, 2973 Ryfoss.

Whether you come from the east (E16 direction Lærdal) or west (E16 direction Fagernes) there is an exit to Syndin from E16. Follow the signs to Syndinstøga (GPS can sometimes be wrong here).
It is a toll road where you must pay with card (NOK 80,- during summer, NOK 120,- during winter). There is an information page on Facebook that will provide information on whether the road is maintained or closed.

At Syndinstøga, follow the road to the right marked "Kviissyndin" - follow this. The cabin is located on the left side down towards the water.

There is a code lock on the door. If you rent through AirBnB, the code will be available in the app.

In the summer, grazing animals roam the cottage. We therefore ask you to keep the gate closed after entering and exiting. There is space to park two or three cars inside the fence.

There is an electric car charger on the cabin wall (type 2).

Practical information:
​
There is sun protection on all the windows - but the cabin can be experienced as warm when you arrive. There are three porch doors - use these for ventilation - so it only takes a few minutes to lower the temperature.

Towels are in cupboards in the bathroom. Bedding is in the closet in the innermost bedroom to the left.
​​
In each bedroom, either the drawers under the bed or the wardrobes are available for storing clothes.
​
The refrigerator has a lot of free space, and there is a large, free drawer for dry goods. There is a freezer in the shed in the enterance.

Vacuum cleaner hangs on the wall in the shed in the enterance.
For the TV, just use the Apple-TV remote control.

Garbage must be thrown in containers at Syndinstøga. There is no sorting other than paper and glass. It is also possible to give a bottle deposit to the Red Cross there.

Nearest place to buy groceries is at Syndinstøga, or Joker at Ryfoss.
​​
You can find extra supplies of detergents, toilet paper, toothpaste, dish brushes etc in the cupboards in the bathroom.

We have a small boat by the water which you are welcome to use. There is a path down to the left of the cabin, follow this - about straight ahead.
Life jackets are in the shed in the hallway - three vests, only youth / adult sizes. You can also rent life jackets at Syndinstøga.
Fishing is allowed in the period 15.06.-15.09.

Note that otter fishing is only allowed 01.07.-15.09.
Syndinstøga is located about a kilometer from the cabin, and has a cozy cafe and restaurant we highly recommend! They use local ingredients.

There is also a small shop there, with a good selection of groceries.
During summer:
If you want to go for short walks, there are several options to take right from the door:

Alaoset/Langehage: go up to the road, and turn left. The road will eventually turn into a tractor road/path. Follow the path along the water towards Stølsgrenda Langehage. A great destination with small children!

Storehovda: same description as to Langehage, but you continue at Alaoset - up to the right. The hiking trail is signposted, and goes over Storehovda to Syndinstøga. An easy hike with a great view!

Syndin is also a fantastic area for cycling and trail biking! If you have the opportunity, feel free to bring a bike!
